We’re in the insider guide to the best smørrebrød in Denmark

Ole Troelsø, Gastronomical Editor at business daily Børsen, always returns to his beloved smørrebrød when he wants a nice, cosy and uncomplicated meal. Ole Troelsø has just published ”Insiders Guide to Smørrebrød”, portraying his 35 favourite restaurants serving smørrebrød, among them Restaurant Kronborg.

Ole Troelsø is the Gastronomical Editor at the business daily, Børsen, and has eaten at – and reviewed – more than 500 gourmet restaurants worldwide. But when Ole Troelsø feels like a nice, cosy and uncomplicated meal, he always returns to his much-loved smørrebrød.
In 2012 Ole Troelsø published “Smørrebrød in Denmark” telling the history of smørrebrød and portraying his favourite lunch restaurants. Now he publishes a new, revised guide, “Insiders guide to smørrebrød”, portraying his 35 favourite lunch restaurants, which range from simple sandwiches to gourmet smørrebrød. The guide to the good lunch restaurants is supplemented by the history of smørrebrød’s development and recipes for select sandwiches.

Restaurant Kronborg in Insiders guide to smørrebrød
At Restaurant Kronborg we are of course proud and excited to be included in the guide to Denmark’s – and thereby Copenhagen’s – best lunch restaurants.
Ole Troelsø writes among other things: “The style is elegantly classic with a cautious modern twist. The quality is high and the service attentive and friendly.
Recommending: “You cannot go wrong if you order the thick and juicy pan fried plaice, which may well be one of the very best in town.”
