A classic Danish gentlemen’s lunch calls for delicate fish dishes (preferably with aquavit), heartier meat dishes (to be enjoyed with a dark speciality beer) and strong cheese (preferably with a little more aquavit …).

Our gentlemen’s lunch requires a healthy appetite and a couple of relaxed hours that are sure to start out cosy – and often become rather festive …

Gentlemen’s Lunch

The lunch is served on platters in three rounds. Includes rye bread, white bread, butter and duck fat.

– Seasonal herring – house-marinated herring made with the best ingredients of the season
– Pan-fried salted herring with soft-fried onions, beetroots and mustard
– Pan-fried plaice fillet with remoulade
– Smoked eel with warm scrambled eggs

– Tartelet with chicken and asparagus
– Warm roast pork with red cabbage and pickles
– Seasonal steak tartare

– Mature cheese served with rum, aspic and onion

The food was cooked to perfection. Best Parisian steak I’ve tasted by far. Plaice fillets fried to melting perfection. The service level is also top class with the finesse of experience and understanding of which table you’re facing. My first visit to Kronborg. The food is fully on par with – and sometimes better than – Palægade or similar. I’m a new regular customer.

Wonderful restaurant
Wonderful restaurant with the most delicious food and fantastic service. Have been there several times and never left disappointed, but instead left Kronborg with a smile on my face and a belly full of the good food. Absolutely the best open sandwiches in town.
